April 30 through May 4, shop our annual Big Spring Sale for grownups (no kids’ books at this sale), and find tens of thousands of gently used books in a wide range of categories.
Oh boy, here it comes! Our Big Spring Sale is back and we can’t wait to show you all the books we’ve been collecting...Thanks to our generous patrons, we came through our summer renovation closure with some great donations and are ready to welcome you in with open arms (and open boxes). We didn’t think it was possible, but we have even more books than we did last year, including some unusual books on world history, a planetary amount of excellent Sci-Fi, and other cool books donated from private collections.
Preview Day - Wednesday, April 30
Limited Lobby Preview - 10am to 5pm
Members Only Room - 1pm to 5pm
Thursday, May 1 – 10 AM to 5 PM
Friday, May 2 – 10 AM to 5 PM
Saturday, May 3 – 10 AM to 5 PM
Sunday, May 4 – 10 AM to 3 PM
Pro Tip: Our smartest shoppers know, we restock every day!!! So if you’re not into crowds, skip Wednesday’s crush and come on an open sale day. With over 1000 boxes on hand for this sale, there will be literally tons of good books to find from Thursday through Sunday!

Scanners or other electronic price checking tools or apps may not be allowed in some areas, such as CDs/DVDs, and Charly’s Corner. We reserve the right to limit quantities. All materials are donated.

Cash, check, and credit cards accepted. Materials at our sales are donated. Scanners and other electronic pricing tools are only allowed at our Big Spring and Big Fall sales, and only the Big sales have Members Night sales. We reserve the right to limit quantities.
Proceeds go to fund literacy materials and programs at the Library and in our community.
Sales are held indoors at the Reston Regional Library. There is onsite parking for library patrons. The library is accessible by multiple Fairfax Connector and RIBS bus routes,
and is within short distance of the Reston Town Center Metro Station and the W&OD trail.
