In the last 20+ years the Friends have donated over $1 million dollars to the Reston Regional Library and the Fairfax County Public Library system as a whole, including over $300,000 in much needed library materials.

Free author events for children and adults; Children's Programs in the library and Reston public schools; Children's section supplies and furniture; Children's Books and Story Time at Embry Rucker Shelter; supplies for RRL staff; Free book coupons for early readers in Reston public schools; Free book coupons for summer reading program participants; Great Stories Club; Movie License; Teen Advisory Board; ESOL Classes; ESOL materials collection; Great Discussions Series; Grounds Maintenance with Reston Garden Club; equipment, furniture, toys, programs, and educational activities for Herndon library; Library Holiday Open House, Book Bites community book distribution, and other community outreach events and materials.
